Most of us have been here for the pre order delays. If you check out some of the rants during that time I think you'll understand why this site works so well. We get a little crazy at times, but its all in fun. The support and understanding at this site cant be beat.

"blue rider", Good luck with your future purchase.........! Bugs? Don't let some of the talk around here to concern you, in my opinion there are no BUGS? More like complaints. There are a lot of Vision owners here and a lot of carefree miles on Visions! I you want to wait, hey that's fine, but if you want to enjoy the experience, and IT IS quite and experience.

I just found this site via my dealer. WoooHoooo. I had a Ness Kingpin show biked up before this Vision (and a slew of other road bikes) This bike rocks!!! Plenty that could be different but that will come with time. This bike is even easier to turn at slow speeds than my Goldwing. (not as quick but...) I look forward to some long trips after the snow melts. see you on the road. Rock

This is my second post. Although I have been snooping around this web site for sometime. My wife actually found this site while tring to find info on the Vision. I have been reading it ever since. Our Vision is two weeks old now and I just love it.
I just thought I'd pop in and say "Hello to All".

Thanx.

Good evening. I just found this site and I'm considering purchasing the Victory Vision. I currently ride a 2005 C90 Suzuki Boulevard equipped with Corbin bags, Corbin trim tab and 2 Corbin seats (dual saddle and rumble seat) both heated and I thought I enjoyed riding this bike until I sat on a Victory Vision at the Laughlin Neveda river run. I would like to ride one prior to purchasing but I need to find a Victory dealer first as I live in Barstow California. Take care and ride safe.

Hello, I wrote my original "Welcome" post and incorrectly sent it to a seperate thread by my mistake hopefully I got it right this time. Today June 14, 2008 I arrived at my local dealership and participated in the Vision demo ride at 10:45am in Longwood, Florida. The skies were partly cloudy and extremely hot. I was given a steel gray Vision standard street with a Stage 1/Level 1 exhaust system with the shotgun tips and medium height windshield. After a briefing on some of its features and an explanation of the short first gear and that after you are underway you can immediately release the clutch and the bike will run without having to ride the clutch during slow parking lot maneauvers. Just for sizing purposes, I'm 5'9", 165lbs, 33" inseam, short torso and long arms 34" sleeve. When I first mounted the bike I was amazed at the immediate comfort factor. The 26.5" seat height, the roomy cockpit, extended floor boards and the handlebar length really made me comfortable. The OEM seat was really assisted in providing me a firm yet reassuring seating platform and I was able to use the rise in the rear of the front seat to rest my lower back against for that laid back cruiser style of riding. The handlebars were for me at the correct rise and pullback along with the grip angle to promote a relaxed shoulders back position that would eliminate the stresses in my upper shoulders. The extended floorboards allowed me to adjust my foot positions while riding and I recalled reading here on this site that by moving your feet toward the outside of the boards you could help to mitigate the heat coming of the engine. Once underway this otherwise hugh ship was extremely stable and surefooted. I was able to test his first gear clutch slow speed advise and it worked as he mentioned. Just like someone else mentioned the bike was intutive and once underway all of my initial apprehension about steering and piloting this bike washed away and it felt as if I and the bike were one. We left the parking lot and turned onto a divided 4 lane roadway where we would have the opportunity to go through the gears to reach the 55mph limit. A twist of the ample throttle and I was steaming full speed ahead at a brisk rate while listening to the sound of the exhaust change its note with each click of the shifter. This bike has plenty of acceleration for a V-twin with very little lag time in the transmission. I did notice some engine or airbox noise at roadway speed which was not overly excessive for a touring model. I was pleasantly surprised by the way this bike handles out on the road. It does not have the feel of heaviness of other large bikes and it steering is precise like a sport bike in that when you think about picking a line it sticks to it like glue. Think about making a lane change it's already waiting for you to get there. We move onto some curves and winding roads wher this bike felt like it was on rails it ate the roads up as my confidence in tis abilities where confirmed with each and every turn. I did experience some excessive heat on my shins and used the technique from this site to mitigate it. The mirrors did not vibrate and I did experience the visual distortion in the upper lip of the windshield where it curves up. This bike rode so easy that I really had to concentrate on the experience in order to evaluate it because I keep getting caught up in the pure plaesure of enjoying such a wonderful riding bike.
I will be returning to place my order!!!

Hey Dave... does this mean..... you have a Vision???????

I mean to say... you don't "have" to have one, but your last post led me to believe there was something more....

Yup, Picked it up this afternoon. I came home from the Victory Highway Relay realizing the 99 wasn't up for any long trips this summer.

Hello,

This is a great site for the Vision. I test rode one on Monday . Now I'm looking to sell my 06 VTX to upgrade to the vision.

Hi to all, It is a great site. I traded in my 04 Ultra Classic with 32,000 mi on it 2 weeks ago on the Vision and I couldn't be happier. One 45 mile test ride was all it took . I am getting the 500 mi service and stage 1 lev 2 pipes and the tour pak rack on at the dealer on Saturday. Can't wait. It outperforms HD all the way.

Just signed up and thought I would say hello to everyone! I'm from Arkansas and found out about this site a few days ago from another forum I've been a member of. Been doing a lot of reading since.

I got my Vision 3 1/2 weeks ago and love it. It was used, but only had 53 miles on it. I traded in an 05 Suzuki Boulevard C90. Loved that bike, but I test drove a Vision back in April and since then that's all I could think about. I actually wasn't ready to trade at this time, but when I found out about this used one, it was one of those deals I couldn't refuse. lol.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and learning more about the bike.

Here's a few pics of my Vision.

"Y" I'll bet you have been for the last 3 1/2 weeks. Arkansas has some fantastic motorcycle roads, just was up in your state last month. Got my first floor board scraps on Hwy 7 when SongFan and I rode 7 top to bottom. Enjoy the ride.
